Story: Singer David Bowie dazzled rock audiences in the early seventies with his cross-dressing alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust, the figurehead of that period’s androgynous glam movement. Although he soon outgrew Ziggy, Bowie continued to transform his image and music throughout the decade, before easing his way into mainstream pop in the 1980s. Artistically, things started to sour with his 1984 album, Tonight, which was released just before his long-suffering brother ended his life. In 1992, he married the Somali-born supermodel Iman Abdulmajid just as he was gearing up to record his first (solo) album of the decade. Stars: Bowie was born with natal Venus conjunct the Midheaven in Sagittarius, along with a square configuration between Neptune in Libra and Mercury in Capricorn, signifying his imaginative sense of style.
