Story: Sean Connery has had a long and distinguished career, despite being strongly associated with his role as special agent 007 James Bond from the original movie series of the 1960s. He was an unknown and unlikely choice to play the character when he was cast for the first Bond movie, Dr. No, in 1962. However, the series was so successful, he starred in a total of five movies before quitting the role in 1967. Although he returned to the role in 1971, he declined further offers, and was permanently replaced by Roger Moore, who took the character in a more comedic direction.
